Looking for a Studio to Rent?

Malashock Dance has TWO great options!

Malashock Dance offers our studios at Dorothea Laub Dance Place in ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station to professional and private renters for an hourly fee of $25 – $100. The Malashock studio is the perfect space to host group classes, private lessons, dance photoshoots, or small performances.

 

  • Reservations must be made a MINIMUM OF 3 business days in advance of the rental time.
  • Your request will only be processed during business hours (M-F)
  • Your request is subject to the availability of our studio space (see availability calendar below)
  • NO hard-soled shoes, pointe shoes, heels, tap shoes, flamenco shoes, rosin or other substances that leave residue. 
  • NO eating or drinking in the studio. 
  • Malashock Dance reserves the right to prioritize our organization’s events over a renter’s if a timing conflict cannot be avoided
  • Studio space can only be reserved up to three months in advance
  • Malashock Dance is a mission driven non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse rentals for activities that do not align with our mission and/or values

How to Reserve Space*

*Note: Reservations must be made a MINIMUM OF 72 hours in advance of the rental time. Your request will only be processed during business hours (M-F)

  1. READ DETAILS ON EACH STUDIO BELOW
  2. CHECK THE AVAILABILITY CALENDAR FOR THE STUDIO YOU WISH TO RENT.
  3. DO NOT REQUEST A TIME “BACK TO BACK” WITH ANOTHER EVENT. PLEASE LEAVE AT LEAST 15 MIN BETWEEN YOUR REQUEST AN ANY OTHER CALENDARED EVENT. 
  4. SUBMIT THE FORM BELOW
  5. CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR A CONTRACT AND PAYMENT LINK (SENT FROM ADOBE SIGN)

Studio 200

Studio 200 Amenities Include:

  • 40′ x 60′ Studio Space
  • Professional Marley Floor
  • Full length studio mirrors
  • Ballet Barres
  • Heat and A/C
  • Sound System with surround sound, aux input, and bluetooth for digital media players or computers, and inputs for microphones. STEREO TUTORIAL VIDEO HERE
  • 80 Folding Chairs may be rented for $50/day

    Rates:

    • Hourly Rate for Rehearsals: $35/Hour
    • Hourly Rate for Paid Events (renter is charging for a class or event): $45/Hour
    • Hourly Rate for Commercial Filming: $100/Hour

    Malashock Dance offers a 10% discount to Non-Profit Organizations with proof of Non-Profit Status.

    Studio 204

    Studio 204 Amenities Include:

    • 20′ x 40′ Studio Space
    • Professional Marley Floor
    • Full length studio mirrors
    • Ballet Barres
    • Heat and A/C
    • Sound System with aux input or Bluetooth for digital media players

    Rates:

    • Hourly Rate for Rehearsals: $25/Hour
    • Hourly Rate for Paid Events (renter is charging for class or event): $35/Hour
    • Hourly Rate for Commercial Filming: $80/Hour

    *Please note that hard soled shoes or pointe shoes may NOT be used on our studio floor. This includes all pointe shoes, heels, tap, flamenco, dress shoes. No equipment / furniture that could damage the floor. No rosin or other substances that leave residue.

    Equipment Rental

    Marley is available for rent, and we have up to 6 rolls available. Each roll measures 5' 4" X 44'. Cost: $50/roll per week, or $300/week for all 6 rolls.

    Chairs are available for rent, and we have 80 available. Cost: $50/day.
