REGISTERMalashock Dance invites professional dancers in the San Diego area to audition as we seek to deepen our connections with the local dance community. We are interested in learning more about the talented artists in our region and welcome dancers to share their work with us.
We welcome experienced dancers, age 18 and older, of all gender identities. As a repertory company presenting the work of Artistic Director Christopher K. Morgan, Founding Artistic Director John Malashock, and guest choreographers each season, we seek dancers who can learn material quickly and are highly skilled in modern, contemporary, and ballet techniques.
Additional experience in improvisation, theater, and other dance forms is a strong asset. Our choreographic processes often involve deep collaboration with dancers, so we value artists who are confident creating phrasework and comfortable navigating fluid leadership, ensemble dynamics, and creative dialogue with adaptability, care, and sensitivity.
