Creative Dance I & II
with Diana Nicastro

Creative dance is an exciting way for young children to develop their motor and social skills, channel their energy, stimulate their imagination, and promote creativity and healthy self-esteem in a fun-filled and positive dance environment. Ages 3-4 & 4-6.
Fun with Modern Jazz!
with Molly Puryear
Wednesday 4-5pm
This class is an energetic introduction to basic Modern and Jazz technique, using age appropriate pop-music, fun choreography, and a positive environment with which to create and explore dance. Ages 6-9
Contemporary/Modern Technique
with Molly Puryear
Wednesday & Thursday 5-6:30pm
Contemporary is a popular style of dance that incorporates the principles and techniques of Modern Dance including use of breath, proper alignment, centering, contraction and release, and floor work, as well as the emotion and story-telling of Lyrical Jazz. Students are encouraged to take class on both days in order to gain the strength and flexibility needed to perform this type of dance. Ages 10-14
Hip Hop
with Jaami Waali
Monday 5-6pm
Jaami’s high energy Hip Hop classes are designed to give dancers an intense full body work-out and an increased understanding of Hip Hop dance, music, and culture. Dancers execute body isolations, move to specific beats in the music, increase thier Hip Hop vocabulary, and challenge thier stamina and strength! Ages 13 & Up.

Beg/Int Modern Technique
with Erica Buechner
Monday 7-8:30pm
Erica’s class is an appropriate class for dancers who are just getting back into dance after a break, or who are relatively new to modern dance. She will focus on body and spatial awareness while interacting through movement.
Mid-Morning Modern Technique
with Julianne O’Brien Pedersen
Wednesday 10-11:30am
Dancers will deepen the clarity and strength of their Modern technique in this class. Julianne will help dancers of any level align the gravity and levity centers of the body, while providing a supportive and lively environment for self-expression.
Open Level Modern Technique
with Katie Griffin
Wednesday 7-8:30pm
Experienced dancers will appreciate the many styles of modern dance that influence this class. Katie gets dancers warm and moving right from the start, and incorporates the use of gestures, stretch, conditioning, floor work, and choreography in a fast-paced and vibrant class.
NEW! Pilates Flow
with Marianne Olsson
Thursday 7-8:15pm
Marianne's class features traditional Pilate's exercises, mixed with dance inspired movements and stretches. Dancers and non-dancers alike can explore the principles of breathing, centering, concentration, control, precision, flow and flexibility in a class that emphasises fun and delivers results!

Saturday 12-1pm
Want a great workout class without the gym atmosphere? Fire yourself up with a full-bodied workout with Erica Buechner, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Dancers and non-dancers alike will experience a combination of strength training and cardiovascular conditioning, followed by a stretch session that leaves everyone feeling refreshed and ready for the weekend! Finally, a fitness class that is fun, safe, and accessible to any fitness level.

Have you ever wanted to take Company Class with the dancers of Malashock Dance? Now you can! Associate Artistic Director, Michael Mizerany, teaches an athletic, powerful, high energy and fast-paced class based on the signature style of John Malashock with a dash of Horton technique. This is the perfect class for the advanced or professional dancer looking for a challenge in a safe and nurturing environment.
Int/Adv Modern Technique

Erica’s next level of technique will challenge dancers who are experienced and looking for a class that incorporates the fundamentals of modern technique with beautiful choreography and class work.
In the spectacular new Malashock Dance studios at Dance Place San Diego, an exciting roster of teachers has been assembled to teach a comprehensive array of dance classes for children, teens, adults and professional dancers.
