Stay The Hand (2008)

Stay the Hand is a collaboration melding dance, music, poetry, and design to explore ancient Persia's influence on our understanding of conflict and harmony.  Choreographer John Malashock and Iranian-born composer Shahrokh Yadegari delve into powerful cultural traditions - providing a glimpse into the ancient world, with an eye toward reconciliation in these difficult, modern times.  The amazing richness of Persian poetry and music set the stage for this emotional intermingling of art forms and expression.
