For the past 28 years, acclaimed choreographer, John Malashock has been inspiring dancers to explore and take risks with complex phrase work, unexpected dynamics, and truly unique ways of developing musicality. His work demands a high degree of physicality and encourages execution of movement with intention and curiosity. David Owen is an accomplished and masterful pianist, composer and arranger with a strong affection for African American influenced styles of Blues, Gospel, R&B and Jazz. David traveled to Brazil as an exchange student in 1992 and his early love for music and piano were reignited. David graduated with a degree in Music from the University of New Mexico and began playing a large breadth of styles and gigs. David immediately got calls for a variety of venues- from churches and five star hotels to casinos and cruise ships. David moved to San Diego in 2004 and at that point both his reputation and career began to elevate to another level. David became the “first call” pianist for the elite vocalists of Southern California with long standing relationships with such greats as Rebecca Jade, Stellita, Shaina Pugh, Damion Willis, Mariela Contrelas and J Dean. His book spans several centuries and contains over 700 standards. His distinct notoriety stems from this expansive repertoire and the ability to play Salsa, Variety, Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Rock, R&B, traditional and contemporary Gospel. David is a highly sought after arranger with a variety of singer/songwriters collaborating with him in order to fully develop the orchestral and rhythmic texture of their original songs. David is most known for his brilliant ability to bring a fresh new angle to songs and compositions.

Kristopher Apple is an independent artist working as a violinist, composer, performer, and improviser at the intersection of music, dance, text, and digital media. His music is a regular feature of the San Diego arts scene where he works closely with choreographers, writers, directors, composers, visual artists, and software developers to integrate music and interdisciplinary performance practices. He is a highly sought after artist who provides music, dance accompaniment, and production support for numerous colleges, universities, dance companies, and theater companies throughout San Diego.
