Audiences are again invited into the inner circle of Malashock’s creative process as Artistic Director and Choreographer John Malashock unveils new sections of work being created for The Floating World, while Company dancers show Malashock’s first round of choreographic ‘sketching.’

The  Floating World:  A multimedia collaboration with filmmaker/video artist Tara Knight, produced in collaboration with Dreams and Diversions, San Diego Museum of Art's exhibition of Japanese Woodblock Prints, premiering next season.

Step into dance’s innermost circle! On the Spot will let you witness, close up, the actual creative process of new choreography being made by John Malashock with Company dancers. Malashock invites you into the private world of artistic trial and error as he begins creating choreography for The Floating World, an interdisciplinary collaboration with filmmaker/video artist Tara Knight, produced in conjunction with the San Diego Museum of Art’s exhibit of Japanese Woodblock Prints next season.
